During my visit to Guatemala at the end of 2018 I founded the collective "Tz'unün" which is Kakchiquel and means "Hummingbird". It is a group of young enthusiastic artists, some of them being my former students, which helped me painting the above mural. It is the starting point of the project "Galería del Pueblo" (Gallery of the People) that wants to bring "art with a message" to the streets of my hometown San Lucas Tolimán. Art should be visible and accessible for every human, not just for privileged persons who can buy artworks for their homes.

The group "Tz'unün" will carry on with this project and realize various murals all over San Lucas Tolimán, forming an art-walk through the town. By the way the great artistic talent which exists in San Lucas is made public.
